‘The Weather Report’ Exploring Senses Workshops and Installation Exhibition
Introduction
In February 2019, Exploring Senses hosted a series of workshops and an installation exhibition titled ‘The Weather Report’ at the Towner Gallery. This initiative was designed to create an immersive environment in response to the ongoing exhibition, The Weather Garden. The program aimed to engage participants of all ages in exploring the environmental impact of our actions through interactive digital art and material reuse.
Workshop Overview

Hours: 10am – 5pm daily

Objectives
The workshops aimed to:

3D Pen and Scanning: Utilizing 3D technology to create and modify designs.

Cardboard Costumes and Sculpture: Constructing wearable art and sculptures from recyclable materials.

Textiles Printing: Exploring fabric printing techniques to create custom designs.

Interactive Sound Creation: Using technology to produce and manipulate sound in innovative ways.
Participation
The workshops were designed to be accessible to individuals of all ages. Participants had the flexibility to drop in during gallery opening hours, allowing for a fluid and inclusive engagement with the activities.

‘The Weather Report’ provided a dynamic and interactive platform for exploring environmental issues through art and technology. By offering a week of drop-in workshops, Exploring Senses successfully engaged the community in meaningful discussions about sustainability, creativity, and the impact of our actions on the environment.
Reflection
